For a few weeks now pict*re magazine was attacked from some bots or what do I know. They downloaded the mag several times every second and tried to bring the server down with that. I had to filter out those request which is really bothering. Sad to see free projects going down because of some idiots.
Anyway - I moved the pdf’s from my servers to zShare.net. They offer a free hosting service for files. Thanks for that! There’s only one catch - the pdfs get deleted after 60 days of no download… but I think it will work ;)
If you really like pict*re magazine, it would be very nice and kind of you if you donate a Euro or two for my work - thank you very much!

You read the right thing! The second volume is out now!
Some time ago I said I would be ready soon, but back then things changed. The magazine got a new layout, the photos got bigger and more and them my life changed suddenly and away go another 5 weeks - but finally: It’s there! You can actually read it! :)
Sorry again for the big delay with this volume, but it hard work to keep all things together and find good content and photos. Hope you enjoy the new volume two!

Yes you read the right thing - pict*re magazine is now build on a wordpress blog! Did not see that, huh? ;)
I am currently building the second the volume of the mag and it’s going great! It will be ready in a week - and that’s the truth! It has a new layout, comes with bigger pictures and there will be a printable version if you like to hold it in your hands. I also try to figure out, how to get this up to lulu or some other on-demand printing service, so that you can order the mag to your home.

This is pict*re magazine - A great pdf offline magazine, filled with pictures and stories, interviews and how-to’s from flickr.com! And the best about it? It’s free!
It started as an experiment in my freetime, and still is. You can it make big! Go download the mag, or hey, why not just go over to flickr and join our pict*re group there? You can post images, participate in posting images to special themes that will appear in the next volume or just talk with others in the discussion. Would be nice to see you there!

In case if you are wondering and reading this, I’m working on Volume 2 of pict*re right now! It has a few more pages, more reading and a lot more pics than last time. Thats while it needs some more time to grow up. I think it will be ready in mid january if things work good.
